Earth Science

This course follows the Pennsylvania academics standards of science, technology, environment and ecology. It is an inquiry course covering the major aspects of Meteorology (weather), Oceanography (the sea), Astronomy (space), Geology (the Earth’s crust), Paleontology (history of life), and the environmental/ecological aspects that pertain to each of these studies. Hands-on learning will be emphasized to help students develop an understanding of the natural environment, the processes that bring about change, and the impact of earth science on society. Students will be expected to research earth science topics and share their understanding with their peers.
